Sky Force Reloaded Review

Not all games have to have incredible depth and complexity to be fun. Enjoyment can come in much simpler formats. Traditionally the games that have done classically well, especially on mobile; have been very simple ideas. Usually the markets shifts towards trends, as the old trend dies out a new one rises, taking its place. However , a game can still be popular even if it doesn’t fall into the current trend. A detailed look at Sky force Reloaded proves this fact.

At its core , the game features a very basic and ordinary control system. This works well however , especially considering the theme and pace of the title. You move your ship from side to side as well as up and down and fire at enemies both on the ground and in the air. Its a classic experience, nostalgia being a big part of it. The game is challenging without being permadeath levels of difficult. The strenuousness of the title varies greatly with some enemies being easy to defeat and other extremely difficult. While this does add an element of effort to the title, it is also very unbalanced in places.

The artwork is fantastic. Right off the bat one can easily recognize that this is an immensely good looking game. All sorts of polish was given to the graphics in the title. The scenes feel truly full and atmospheric with every detail of the scene , as well as the enemies and non player character; being tremendously well made and beautifully polished. The models are very detailed in terms of mesh quality and texture variety, everything looks sharp and detailed, especially for a mobile title.

There is a variety of planes to collect , each one with a set of upgrades to keep the game from getting stale too fast. Each new plane having better stats than the previous and each upgrade adding invaluable effect to your well-being or might. One can start out with a very simple ship and finish with an immensely powerful start destroyer-akin crusader, crushing anything witless enough to be in your way in that given moment.

A fair amount of pleasure is retained from this title and its a delight on the eyes. Fast paced intense combat delivered through an immensely polished title. Although the game has a few inconsistencies, it a thoroughly enjoyable experience that I would recommend easily.
