The hot new game on the block Pokémon Legends Z-A on the Switch is in stormy weather for the time being! The latest installment from Game Freak and the Pokémon Company was supposed to be a blockbuster on the new Switch 2 with more powerful hardware suggesting better visuals and all that good stuff. But instead we got a hot mess with very bland graphics(except from the Pokémon themselves) They look stellar as always. But Buildings in cities has flat surfaces. Just a JPEG wall as Asmongold comments in one of his videos. Buildings look unfinished in several areas and objects are glitching and loading in and out, very uneven redering distance. The world itself look very, empty. I kinda get the old Might and Magic 7-8 feel when I see those trees with nothing else around them in the distance.

The sales are also down 40% compared to the Arceus release(UK) which is quite bad for a game that hould be the next console banger game.
The gameplay is also considered too easy for many people. When catching Pokémon you don’t even need to be careful not to hit them too much like the older games. You can mow them down and still catch them even if their HP goes to 0. Or just throw the ball over and over, with no strategy or consequense. You basically never run out of Pokéballs. There are scavengers around the map just handing them out to you. Also, you can’t Jump…
That said, there are some solid parts about the game. It runs smooth, mostly because stuff don’t load in over 5m away and buildings are one flat surface, heh. And the story is OK. So if you liked Let’s go Pikachu where you basically just go around catching Pokémon super easily, you might also love this one!
